Show allAllSkin overview
In Field-Tested, Heat starts to look like a tool that has seen use: the glowing outlines break up on the most exposed edges while the dark body keeps its colour. The hot-metal idea is still easy to read, and some players find the slightly worn edges fit the forge theme.
Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.
Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak⢠version.
How the skin looks in Field-Tested
The receiver, magazine and grip are covered in a dark charcoal-grey paint with a faint reddish tint toward the edges. Every contour of the gun is traced with a bright yellow line fading into orange, as if the metal were still glowing from the forge.
The outlines begin to break on the receiver corners, the top rail and the magazine base, with short gaps where the glow is gone. Light scratches appear on the dark side panels. At normal distance the edge glow still reads, though less crisply. The grip sides and the sling keep most of their colour.
Field-Tested wear: float 0.15ā0.38
The whole float range of Souvenir MAC-10 | Heat is 0ā1; Field-Tested takes the 0.15ā0.38 segment (23% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Origin of the skin
Souvenir MAC-10 | Heat belongs to The Phoenix Collection, which holds 13 skins.
The source is Operation Phoenix Weapon Case (on sale since Feb 19, 2014).
What it costs in each quality
Among 6 skins of the MAC-10 in the Restricted grade and this quality, this skin is the dearest.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrakā¢. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Gold, holo and foil stickers in yellow, orange or red tones match the glowing outlines. Dark or black stickers on the flat side of the receiver blend with the charcoal body without breaking the edge lines.
What to look at before you buy
- Look at the float position within the wear range, since the edge outlines are the first thing to fade and lower floats keep them noticeably cleaner.
- Check the receiver corners, top rail and magazine base in inspect, as these parts lose the glow first.
- Consider whether applied stickers suit the dark and orange palette, because they cannot be moved.
- Note any name tag and decide if it fits the forge theme or if you prefer a clean copy.
Who the Field-Tested quality suits
- Players who want a recognisable Heat for everyday matches.
- Buyers who like a slightly used look that fits the forged-metal theme.
- Conclusion: a practical everyday choice.
