Skin overview

Poplar Thicket in Battle-Scarred is the most weathered take on this teal forest finish, with heavy paint loss along the front, top and edges of the MAC-10. The branch pattern survives in patches on the flat panels, and the yellow parts look chipped. It is the cheapest way to get the skin and gives it a field-used character.

Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The receiver and upper body are covered in a teal-green base with a dense web of pale green and cream branches running at different angles. Yellow accents mark the front sight area, the charging handle, the trigger area, the grip side panels and the folding wire stock, while the threaded muzzle stays black.

Battle-Scarred has heavy paint loss across the front, top and all edges of the MAC-10, and the yellow parts look badly chipped. Worn areas spread over the side panels, leaving the branch pattern in broken patches. In game the gun reads as a scratched grey-and-green camouflage rather than a bright teal one. Only the more sheltered flat areas of the body and grip keep clear fragments of the design.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.68

The float of Souvenir MAC-10 | Poplar Thicket ranges from 0 to 0.68; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–0.68 — 34% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The Boreal Collection with 29 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Yellow, gold and olive stickers echo the gun's accents and magazine, while green or teal designs blend into the forest pattern. Placing them on the plain side panels of the receiver keeps the branch motif readable.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since a low float in a worn grade can look close to the cleaner grade above it.
  • Look at the muzzle end, front corners and yellow wire stock first, as these show wear earliest on this finish.
  • Souvenir copies come with pre-applied stickers, so decide whether they suit you before buying.
  • Check for any applied stickers or name tag, which change the look but rarely add value on a Mil-Spec skin.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred

  • Budget buyers who simply want any skin on their MAC-10.
  • Players who enjoy heavily worn finishes with a field-used character.
  • Conclusion: the cheapest entry, best for those who do not mind heavy wear.
