Skin overview

Red Filigree is a dark, ornate finish: a maroon body overlaid with an intricate red flower-and-scroll pattern, framed by grey metal parts. In Field-Tested the ornament is still clearly readable, but the edges of the receiver and the muzzle area start to show lighter scuffs. It keeps the vintage character of the design while being a practical everyday choice.

Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The finish covers the receiver and upper body of the MAC-10, from the barrel shroud to the rear, with a dark maroon base and a dense red filigree of flowers, scrolls and curls. The barrel tip stays dark grey, while the grip, magazine, trigger guard and rear stock rail are left in plain grey metal.

Light scuffs run along the top edge of the receiver and around the muzzle end, and small patches appear near the bolt slot. The filigree on the side panels is still mostly whole. In game the pattern reads clearly, with the wear noticeable only on inspection. The magazine and grip show only faint marks.

Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir MAC-10 | Red Filigree is 0–0.5; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (46% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Canals Collection with 18 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Gold, deep red and black stickers match the ornamental, vintage feel of the filigree. Placing them on the side of the receiver keeps them on the patterned area, while bright neon colours tend to clash with the dark maroon base.

What to look at before you buy

• Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since a low float shows noticeably cleaner edges on the receiver.
• Inspect the top edge and front corners of the receiver, where the filigree breaks first.
• Souvenir copies come with fixed stickers, so decide whether those stickers suit the dark red finish.
• Look at any applied stickers or name tag, as they add to the look but not always to the value.
