Skin overview

Whitefish uses white fish scales, bones and a hook painted over a black base, a theme that suits a worn finish well. In Battle-Scarred the black is scuffed across large areas and much of the fine white linework is chipped or faded. It is the cheapest way to get the skin, and the damaged look fits its dark, fishing-trophy theme.

Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The receiver is finished in dark black-grey, with a white net of fish scales covering the lower side panel and white accents along the top edge. The grip carries white branching bone lines that run down its length, while the magazine is decorated with a white fish spine and ribs drawn vertically.

The black base is heavily scratched across the receiver, grip and magazine, and large patches of metal show through. Much of the white linework is chipped or faded, especially on the magazine and grip. At normal distance the skin reads as a dark, battered SMG with traces of white pattern. Only the more protected areas of the receiver side keep fragments of the scale net.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–1

The whole float range of Souvenir MAC-10 | Whitefish is 0–1; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–1 segment (55% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Prisma Collection with 17 skins in total.

The source is Prisma Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

White, silver and black stickers keep the monochrome look intact, while a single red or teal accent can stand out against the dark body. Placing stickers on the upper receiver leaves the scale and bone artwork visible.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the white linework on the magazine and grip shows wear quickly.
  • Look at the magazine base and the front of the grip, as these parts lose paint first.
  • Make sure applied stickers do not cover the fish spine on the magazine or the scale net on the receiver.
  • Check whether the copy is StatTrak™ or carries a name tag, if that matters to you.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

  • Players looking for the cheapest entry to this skin.
  • Fans of heavily battered finishes that match the dark fishing theme.
  • The budget pick for those who do not mind visible damage.
