Skin overview

MAG-7 | Hard Water is a Mil-Spec Grade finish for the CT shotgun, done in grey anodized metal with a dark blue-green receiver covered in pale, water-stain-like blotches. Bright blue accents ring the barrel and mark the sights and magazine. In Factory New the anodized surface is even and the blue highlights look saturated, so the contrast between grey metal and coloured details is at its sharpest.

Item type: shotgun. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The receiver is split into a dark blue-green upper section covered with irregular grey blotches and a plain grey anodized lower body. The large foregrip and the muzzle area are smooth grey metal, with a glowing blue ring where the barrel meets the body.

The anodized coating is intact on every part of the weapon. The blue ring at the barrel and the blue details on the sight and magazine look bright and clean. The grey blotches on the receiver have crisp outlines. In game the skin looks exactly as on the preview.

Factory New quality — float range 0–0.07

The float of Souvenir MAG-7 | Hard Water ranges from 0 to 0.45; the Factory New quality covers 0–0.07 — 16% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Blue, silver and holo stickers in cool tones match the grey and teal palette. Placing them on the dark upper receiver keeps them close to the blue accents without covering the grey foregrip, while warm colours tend to break the restrained look.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the top of Field-Tested show noticeably more scratches on the foregrip.
  • Inspect the edges of the foregrip and the top ridge of the receiver, as they are the first places the coating wears off.
  • Make sure the blue ring at the barrel and the blue magazine detail look clean if the accents matter to you.
  • Look at applied stickers and the name tag, and decide whether a StatTrak™ counter is worth it for you.

Who the Factory New quality suits

  • Collectors who want the blue accents and stain pattern in their cleanest form.
  • Sticker crafters who need an unworn base for cool-toned combinations.
  • Conclusion: the grade for those who value a flawless finish.
