Skin overview

In Field-Tested the shockwave motif is still easy to recognise, but the red has started to thin on the edges and raised parts. The grey metal base handles wear well, so the shotgun looks used rather than damaged. A sensible middle ground for players who want the look without paying for a clean copy.

Item type: shotgun. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The base of the finish is a grey, slightly textured gunmetal that covers the receiver, the front foregrip, the pistol grip and the magazine. On the side of the receiver, concentric rings radiate from the round bolt above the trigger, drawn in dark grey with red bands that run forward along the body and up to the top rail.

The red stripes on the barrel shroud and along the top rail show visible thinning, and the receiver edges start to lose colour. The front of the foregrip and the base of the magazine pick up scratches on the grey. The rings around the bolt are still mostly complete. In game the pattern reads clearly, with a slightly faded feel.

The whole float range of Souvenir MAG-7 | MAGnitude is 0–1; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (23% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Red, black and silver stickers match the shockwave motif and the grey metal. Placements on the side of the receiver should avoid covering the rings around the bolt, so the grip area or the front of the body works better.

What to look at before you buy

• Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since the red on the barrel shroud and top rail is the first to go.
• Look at the rings around the bolt on the receiver, as they carry the main idea of the skin.
• Inspect the edges of the receiver and the front of the foregrip on worn copies.
• Check any applied stickers and name tag to make sure they fit the red and grey scheme.

• CT players who use the MAG-7 regularly and want a recognisable skin.
• Buyers who accept slight fading on the shroud and rail.
• A reasonable middle option for everyday play.
