Skin overview

This MP5-SD reads as a rough workshop build: tape wraps, contrasting yellow caps and a red band near the bottom of the magazine. Minimal Wear keeps that look almost intact, with only faint marks on the outermost edges that are hard to spot in a match. It is a sensible choice for buyers who want a near-clean copy without paying for the cleanest grade.

Item type: smg. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The suppressor is black with wide white wraps carrying black lettering, finished with a yellow muzzle cap and yellow bands at its base. The receiver is dark blue-grey metal with brownish, rust-like tones on the trigger group and lower parts.

Minimal Wear adds tiny specks on the rim of the yellow muzzle cap and on the corners of the magazine. The suppressor wraps, the grip emblem and the receiver remain clean. At normal distance in game it is practically indistinguishable from Factory New.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of Souvenir MP5-SD | Kitbash is 0–0.8; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (10% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Fracture Collection with 17 skins in total.

The source is Fracture Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Black, white and yellow stickers blend naturally with the taped-together theme, and a touch of red echoes the magazine band. Placements on the receiver side and near the magazine well suit the patchwork look best.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within its grade, since the yellow caps show the difference between low and high floats first.
  • Look at the magazine edges and the red band near its bottom, which are the most visible worn areas in the first-person view.
  • Check applied stickers and any name tag, as they change the look of this busy, patchwork design.
  • Compare the inspect view of the suppressor wraps to make sure the lettering is as legible as you want.

Who should buy Minimal Wear

  • Players who want a near-clean look without paying for the top grade.
  • Sticker crafters, since the main surfaces remain intact.
  • A balanced pick between appearance and cost.
