Skin overview

Short Ochre keeps its recognisable split between a tan body and yellow-orange accents even after use. In Field-Tested small chips appear along the edges and the paint takes on a slightly dusty tone, which fits the sandy palette rather well. The skin reads as a worked tool instead of a showroom piece.

Item type: smg. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Solid Color: a single colour without a pattern; wear dulls it evenly and rubs it off along the edges.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The receiver and upper body are painted a light sandy tan, with the top rail, side rail, sights, trigger guard and muzzle left in dark grey metal. The magazine, the folding foregrip and the stock butt pad are a richer ochre yellow, and a small orange accent sits near the trigger.

Small chips show along the muzzle, the rail edges, the sight bases and the bottom of the magazine. The tan paint takes on a light layer of grime that slightly dulls it. In game the two-tone scheme still reads clearly, and the wear is visible mostly in the first-person view. The flat sides of the receiver and the stock remain largely intact.

Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir MP7 | Short Ochre is 0–0.747; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (31% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Radiant Collection with 28 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

What it costs in each quality

By price this skin is 6th of 9 skins Consumer Grade MP7 in this quality (the first being the dearest).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Warm stickers in gold, orange, brown or black match the tan and ochre palette well. Placing them on the flat side of the receiver keeps them clear of the dark rails and lets them stand out against the sandy paint.

What to look at before you buy

  • Since the finish is a plain solid colour, the float position within the wear grade matters more than any pattern, so compare the float values of the copies on offer.
  • Look at the muzzle, rail edges and magazine bottom in the inspect view, as these are the first places to lose paint.
  • Souvenir copies come with pre-applied stickers, so check whether you want those stickers on the weapon.
  • Check for any applied stickers or a name tag and decide whether they fit your plans for the skin.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • For players who want a usable MP7 skin with a balanced look and cost.
  • For those who like how light grime suits the sandy palette.
  • A sensible middle option for everyday play.
