Skin overview

Airlock is built on clean cream panels and a red magazine, and Battle-Scarred turns that into a heavily scraped version of the design. Large areas show dark wear through the pale paint, especially on edges and protruding parts, while the overall white-and-red scheme is still readable. It is the cheapest way to carry the skin's colours.

Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The receiver and barrel shroud are painted off-white and covered with thin grey panel lines, small hatches, technical labels and a few red letter markings that suggest the hull of a spacecraft. The front grip and pistol grip continue the cream finish, with small red dots on the front grip and black-and-white hazard stripes near the base of the pistol grip.

Heavy scraping covers the edges, top rail, grips and stock, and much of the fine line work is lost in those areas. The magazine is visibly worn, with the red broken up around its edges and base. In game the weapon looks rough and dark-spotted, yet the overall white-and-red split is still recognisable. Some flat central panels retain patches of the original cream paint and markings.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–1

The float of Souvenir MP9 | Airlock ranges from 0 to 1; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–1 — 55% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The Gamma 2 Collection with 17 skins in total.

It drops from Gamma 2 Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Red, white and black stickers continue the skin's colour scheme and the technical, hazard-marking style. Small, clean designs placed on the flat receiver panels keep the line work readable, while busy multicoloured stickers tend to clash with the minimal palette.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the light paint makes every step of wear easy to see.
  • Inspect the receiver edges, top rail and grip edges, which are the first places to scuff on this skin.
  • Look at the magazine base and edges to see how much of the red finish is intact.
  • Check applied stickers and any name tag, as they stand out strongly against the pale body.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred

  • Players looking for the lowest-cost entry to this skin.
  • Those who enjoy a heavily scraped, battle-used aesthetic.
  • Best as a budget pick where colours matter more than condition.
