Souvenir MP9 | Deadly Poison (Field-Tested)

Skin overview

Deadly Poison is recognisable from a distance by the bright lime front grip and the green streaks running along the receiver. In Field-Tested the paint starts to break up on the muzzle, top edges and front grip, giving the green a used, scuffed look. The spider and the overall colour scheme still read clearly in game.

Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The receiver is covered in an olive-grey base broken up by darker grey angular panels, with sharp lime-green slashes running along the top, the sides and towards the muzzle, and an MP9 marking in green on the side. The front vertical grip is the brightest part of the gun, painted almost entirely in acid green with dark diagonal stripes.

Visible scuffs show on the muzzle, the top rail edges and the front grip, where the bright green starts to break. The lime slashes on the receiver lose some of their crisp edges. The spider on the pistol grip and the main panels of the receiver still look mostly whole. In game the gun reads as clearly green and grey, with wear noticeable when inspecting.

Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir MP9 | Deadly Poison is 0–1; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (23% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir MP9 | Deadly Poison belongs to The Chroma Collection, which holds 14 skins.

The source is Chroma Case (on sale since Jan 8, 2015).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Lime, neon green and black stickers continue the poison theme, while holo or foil in green tones match the bright front grip. Placing stickers on the grey receiver panels keeps the lime slashes visible, and spider, insect or toxic motifs fit the artwork.

What to check before buying

• Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since the front grip and muzzle show the difference first.
• Inspect the spider on the pistol grip, as it is the detail most buyers notice on worn copies.
• Look at the condition of the lime slashes on the top edges of the receiver.
• Check whether the copy is StatTrak™ or Souvenir and whether it carries stickers or a name tag.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

• Players who want the bright green MP9 in their loadout and accept visible scuffs.
• Buyers looking for a StatTrak™ copy at a more moderate grade.
• Conclusion: the practical everyday choice for play.
