Show allAllSkin overview
The skin is built on contrast: neon green cuts, muted grey-green polymer and a spider emblem that gives the finish its name. Minimal Wear keeps that contrast almost untouched, with only small specks that need a close look to find. For most buyers it reads the same as a clean copy while sitting one grade lower.
Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
How the skin looks in Minimal Wear
The receiver is covered in an olive-grey base broken up by darker grey angular panels, with sharp lime-green slashes running along the top, the sides and towards the muzzle, and an MP9 marking in green on the side. The front vertical grip is the brightest part of the gun, painted almost entirely in acid green with dark diagonal stripes.
Small specks may appear on the muzzle tip and the edges of the front grip. The receiver, the spider and the green slashes stay practically clean. At normal distance in game it is hard to tell apart from Factory New. Copies at the cleaner end of the grade look the closest to new.
Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15
The whole float range of Souvenir MP9 | Deadly Poison is 0–1; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (8% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
Souvenir MP9 | Deadly Poison belongs to The Chroma Collection, which holds 14 skins.
It drops from Chroma Case (on sale since Jan 8, 2015).
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Lime, neon green and black stickers continue the poison theme, while holo or foil in green tones match the bright front grip. Placing stickers on the grey receiver panels keeps the lime slashes visible, and spider, insect or toxic motifs fit the artwork.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since the front grip and muzzle show the difference first.
- Inspect the spider on the pistol grip, as it is the detail most buyers notice on worn copies.
- Look at the condition of the lime slashes on the top edges of the receiver.
- Check whether the copy is StatTrak™ or Souvenir and whether it carries stickers or a name tag.
Who should buy Minimal Wear
- Players who want a near-clean look without paying for the top grade.
- Crafters fine with tiny specks that are rarely seen in game.
- Conclusion: a sensible balance between appearance and cost.
