Show allAllSkin overview
This MP9 is defined by its acid-green paint and the dark coils that twist over the top of the weapon. In Field-Tested the green starts to lose its edge on the corners and raised parts, and small scuffs break up the outlines of the coils. The overall green-and-black look still reads clearly in game.
Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Classified is the second-rarest weapon tier, only Covert sits above it.
Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
Appearance in Field-Tested
The receiver is painted bright acid green with dark streaks, and thick black serpentine coils wrap over its top and sides toward the muzzle. The pistol grip shows a green scaled texture fading into dark grey, while the front grip is mostly dark with green patches.
Wear spreads along the receiver edges, the top surface and the magazine, with scuffs cutting into the green and the coil outlines. The front of the grips begins to show light abrasion. The middle of the receiver and most of the coils still hold their colour. In game the skin reads as green and black, just slightly less vivid.
Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38
The whole float range of Souvenir MP9 | Hydra is 0–1; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (23% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The CS20 Collection with 17 skins in total.
It drops from CS20 Case.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Stickers in green, black or dark holo tones blend with the acid green and the black coils. Placements on the side of the receiver work best when they do not cover the coils, while a single bright accent can contrast well against the green.
What to look at before you buy
- Check the float position within the wear range, since the edges and magazine show the difference first.
- Look at the magazine and the top of the receiver on the inspect screen, where the green wears off earliest.
- On worn grades compare several copies, as the amount of remaining green varies widely.
- Check applied stickers and name tag, and whether they match the green-and-black scheme.
Who should buy Field-Tested
- Players who want the recognisable green look for everyday matches.
- Buyers who do not mind visible scuffs on edges and the magazine.
- A practical middle option for regular play.
