Skin overview

Ruby Poison Dart in Battle-Scarred is the most worn version of the red and purple frog-spot MP9. The skin's float range ends before the heaviest damage, so even these copies keep a readable pattern on the central surfaces. It is the grade for buyers who want the colours for the lowest entry cost.

Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The receiver and handguard are covered in irregular red-orange spots, each ringed in black, with magenta and purple metallic paint between them. The same pattern continues onto the ribbed foregrip, where purple dominates, and onto the pistol grip, which mixes orange spots with magenta.

Wear covers all edges, the handguard front, the trigger guard and both grips, with scratches across the sides of the receiver. Because the float range stops early, the damage does not reach the extreme seen on some other skins. In game the gun reads as a weathered red and purple MP9 with a grey outline. The central panels of the receiver keep enough paint for the pattern to stay recognisable.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.5

The float of Souvenir MP9 | Ruby Poison Dart ranges from 0 to 0.5; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–0.5 — 10% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

Souvenir MP9 | Ruby Poison Dart belongs to The Falchion Collection, which holds 16 skins.

It drops from Falchion Case (on sale since Apr 15, 2015).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in red, magenta, purple or black match the frog-spot artwork, and holographic or foil stickers echo the metallic paint. Placements on the plain grey stock and magazine area stand out, while stickers on the receiver are best kept dark so they do not clash with the busy pattern.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since a low value inside Field-Tested or Well-Worn noticeably reduces scuffing on the edges.
  • Inspect the top edge of the receiver and the grip ribs, as these parts lose paint first.
  • Look at the pattern placement on the receiver, because the spot layout differs between copies and some show more red on the visible side.
  • Check for applied stickers and a name tag, which can change how the copy looks.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred

  • Budget players who want this colour scheme for the lowest entry cost.
  • Buyers who appreciate that the shortened float range keeps the pattern readable.
  • Conclusion: the cheapest way in, with less damage than the grade name suggests.
