Skin overview

The MP9 keeps its recognisable mix of red spots and purple fill even when the paint starts to go. Well-Worn copies show bare metal along the top of the receiver, the front end and the grip ribs. The result looks used and rough, which some players prefer on a loud pattern like this.

Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Well-Worn

The receiver and handguard are covered in irregular red-orange spots, each ringed in black, with magenta and purple metallic paint between them. The same pattern continues onto the ribbed foregrip, where purple dominates, and onto the pistol grip, which mixes orange spots with magenta.

Bare metal spreads along the top of the receiver and across the front of the handguard, and the grip ribs lose much of their colour. Scratches begin to cut into the red spots and purple fill on the sides. In game the MP9 still shows its red and purple scheme, but the edges look grey and rough. The middle of the receiver sides and the lower pistol grip keep the most paint.

Well-Worn quality — float range 0.38–0.45

The float of Souvenir MP9 | Ruby Poison Dart ranges from 0 to 0.5; the Well-Worn quality covers 0.38–0.45 — 14% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The Falchion Collection with 16 skins in total.

The source is Falchion Case (on sale since Apr 15, 2015).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in red, magenta, purple or black match the frog-spot artwork, and holographic or foil stickers echo the metallic paint. Placements on the plain grey stock and magazine area stand out, while stickers on the receiver are best kept dark so they do not clash with the busy pattern.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since a low value inside Field-Tested or Well-Worn noticeably reduces scuffing on the edges.
  • Inspect the top edge of the receiver and the grip ribs, as these parts lose paint first.
  • Look at the pattern placement on the receiver, because the spot layout differs between copies and some show more red on the visible side.
  • Check for applied stickers and a name tag, which can change how the copy looks.

Who the Well-Worn quality suits

  • Players who like a used, rough look on a loud pattern.
  • Budget buyers who still want the red and purple scheme to read clearly.
  • Conclusion: a lived-in version that keeps the character of the skin.
