Skin overview

Field-Tested is the most worn grade this Nova can have, and it covers only the cleaner start of that range. The dark blue base and the swirling storm lines are still easy to recognise, with scuffs gathering on edges and raised parts. It is an inexpensive way to get the full look of the skin.

Item type: shotgun. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New and Minimal Wear. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The Nova is coated in a dark navy hydrographic finish, with pale grey-blue swirling lines forming waves and curling clouds. The pattern is most visible on the receiver and the stock, where the light linework stands out against the deep blue base.

Field-Tested copies show more noticeable scuffs on the muzzle, the receiver edges and the pump ribs. The edges of the stock start to lose paint, and some of the pale linework near them looks softer. The central part of the stock and the main storm swirls still read well. Since this skin covers only the start of the grade, the wear stays moderate.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.22

The float of Souvenir Nova | Tempest ranges from 0.06 to 0.22; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.22 — 44% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The Bravo Collection with 15 skins in total.

The source is Operation Bravo Case (on sale since Sep 20, 2013).

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Blue, silver, white and holo stickers blend with the navy base and pale storm lines. Placements on the receiver keep the wave motif on the stock visible.

What to check before buying

  • Compare float within the grade, since the clean ranges are narrow and copies near the lower edge look noticeably tidier.
  • Inspect the muzzle, receiver edges and pump ribs, as they lose paint first.
  • Check whether stickers or a name tag are applied and whether they fit the blue palette.
  • Decide between regular, StatTrak™ and Souvenir copies, as Souvenir versions come with stickers already applied.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

  • Budget buyers who want the storm pattern for everyday play.
  • Players who do not mind light scuffs on the edges.
  • An affordable entry to this skin.
