Show allAllSkin overview
SG 553 | Dragon Tech is a Restricted rifle finish that covers the weapon in a biomechanical green dragon, drawn as scales and mechanical plating over a dark base. In Factory New the teal and emerald tones stay saturated and the thin red accents along the handguard read sharply. This is the grade where the fine scale detail looks the way it was painted.
Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.
Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
Appearance in Factory New
The receiver and handguard are covered in teal and emerald scales mixed with mechanical plates, while the rail tops and some edges stay dark gunmetal. A thin red line runs along the lower edge of the handguard, adding a warm accent to the green scheme.
The paint is intact across the whole rifle, including the muzzle, scope and magazine edges. Scale detail and the red handguard line look crisp. In game the green reads bright and even. Every part of the weapon looks clean.
Factory New quality — float range 0–0.07
The whole float range of Souvenir SG 553 | Dragon Tech is 0–0.7; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (10% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
Souvenir SG 553 | Dragon Tech belongs to The Recoil Collection, which holds 17 skins.
It drops from Recoil Case.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Green, teal and black stickers blend with the dragon scales, while red or gold ones echo the handguard accent. Holo or foil stickers in cool tones fit the mechanical theme. Placing them on the receiver keeps the magazine pattern open.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the edges of the handguard and magazine show the difference most.
- Inspect the muzzle and scope housing, as they lose paint first.
- Look at applied stickers and their placement against the green pattern.
- Check whether a name tag is applied and if it suits you.
Who the Factory New quality suits
- Collectors who want the cleanest version of the dragon pattern.
- Sticker crafters who need saturated green as a base.
- The choice for those who want the finish exactly as painted.
