Skin overview

The SG 553 | Dragon Tech pairs a dark gunmetal base with a dense green dragon pattern that runs from the magazine to the stock. Minimal Wear keeps the overall look nearly identical to a fresh copy, with only small marks that are hard to spot outside of inspect. It gives almost the full visual effect of the finish at a less demanding grade.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The receiver and handguard are covered in teal and emerald scales mixed with mechanical plates, while the rail tops and some edges stay dark gunmetal. A thin red line runs along the lower edge of the handguard, adding a warm accent to the green scheme.

Light specks may appear on the muzzle tip and the sharpest edges of the handguard. The magazine, receiver and stock keep their full pattern. In game the difference from Factory New is barely noticeable. The red accent and the scope still look clean.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15

The float of Souvenir SG 553 | Dragon Tech ranges from 0 to 0.7; the Minimal Wear quality covers 0.07–0.15 — 11% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

The skin’s collection is The Recoil Collection with 17 skins in total.

It drops from Recoil Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Green, teal and black stickers blend with the dragon scales, while red or gold ones echo the handguard accent. Holo or foil stickers in cool tones fit the mechanical theme. Placing them on the receiver keeps the magazine pattern open.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the edges of the handguard and magazine show the difference most.
  • Inspect the muzzle and scope housing, as they lose paint first.
  • Look at applied stickers and their placement against the green pattern.
  • Check whether a name tag is applied and if it suits you.

Who the Minimal Wear quality suits

  • Players who want a near-clean look without aiming for the top grade.
  • Sticker crafts where tiny edge marks do not matter.
  • A sensible balance between look and condition.
