Skin overview

SG 553 | Ol' Rusty dresses the rifle as aged steel: a copper-orange handguard, barrel and stock against a dark teal receiver flecked with red rust. In Factory New the colour transitions stay crisp and the rust patches keep their deliberate, painted look. The weathering here is part of the design, not damage.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

Other qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The handguard with its long rail sections, the barrel, the scope and the stock are finished in a warm copper-orange tone that imitates rusted steel. The receiver is dark teal and blue-grey, broken up by red-orange rust blotches, and the nickname Ol' Rusty is stamped above the trigger housing.

The finish is essentially untouched: rail ridges, the muzzle and the magazine edges keep their full colour. The rust blotches on the receiver have clean outlines and the stamp above the trigger housing is fully readable. In game the copper and teal contrast is sharp at any distance.

Factory New wear: float 0–0.07

The whole float range of Souvenir SG 553 | Ol' Rusty is 0–0.7; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (10% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Fracture Collection with 17 skins in total.

It drops from Fracture Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in copper, orange, teal or muted blue echo the skin's two-tone scheme, while gold and holographic finishes stand out against the rust. Placements on the receiver and the magazine sit on the cooler teal and blue areas, giving warm-coloured stickers more contrast.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end of a grade keep noticeably more colour on the rails.
  • Look at the rail ridges, muzzle and magazine edges, as these show wear first.
  • Make sure the Ol' Rusty stamp above the trigger housing is readable if that detail matters to you.
  • Review applied stickers and any name tag, because they change the look and are not removed for free.

Who the Factory New quality suits

  • Collectors who want the crispest copper and teal contrast.
  • Sticker crafters who need a clean base for warm or gold stickers.
  • Choose it if sharp detail on the rust pattern matters most to you.
