Skin overview

SSG 08 | Slashed gives the bolt-action rifle a dark charcoal finish cut by bright orange claw marks running diagonally across the scope, receiver and stock. Field-Tested is the cleanest grade this skin comes in, and here the orange stays saturated against the near-black base. Scuffs are mostly confined to edges, so the claw motif reads clearly in the hands.

Item type: sniper rifle. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The base of the finish is dark charcoal, almost black, with a slightly mottled hydrographic texture. Orange claw marks run diagonally across the scope tube, the receiver sides, the pistol grip, the cheek rest and the stock, often in groups of parallel strokes.

Light scuffs appear on the scope edges, the top of the receiver and the corners of the stock. The orange streaks are still bright and mostly intact, with only small breaks where they cross raised parts. In game the rifle reads as dark with sharp orange claw marks, and the wear is hard to notice. Lower floats within this grade look noticeably closer to a clean copy.
