Souvenir SSG 08 | Threat Detected (Factory New)

Skin overview

SSG 08 | Threat Detected covers the rifle in a bright orange map pattern with thin dark contour lines and small cyan HUD marks, like a target view from a drone. In Factory New the overlay is crisp and every line of the map reads cleanly against the orange. This is the grade to pick if you want the artwork exactly as designed.

Item type: sniper rifle. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Other qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Factory New

The receiver, handguard, pistol grip and stock are painted orange with a map texture of thin dark contour lines, lighter streaks and small cyan HUD markings. The handguard keeps its black slots and top rail, which frame the orange panels.

The paint is intact on every part, including the handguard edges and the scope. Contour lines and cyan HUD marks are sharp and evenly coloured. In game the rifle reads as a clean, bright orange piece with visible map detail.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in orange, white, black or cyan tie in with the map and HUD theme. Placements on the dark handguard area near the rail or on the receiver side keep the main pattern readable.

What to check before buying

• Check where the float sits within its wear range, since the low end of a grade looks noticeably cleaner on the scope and handguard.
• Look at the handguard edges, the scope turrets and the grip first, as these lose paint before anything else.
• If it is a Souvenir copy, make sure the pre-applied stickers suit the orange artwork.
• Check any stickers or name tag on the listing so you know what you are paying for.

Who the Factory New quality suits

• Collectors who want the drone-map artwork with no marks at all.
• Sticker crafters who need a clean orange base.
• The pick when a flawless finish matters more than cost.
