Souvenir SSG 08 | Threat Detected (Field-Tested)

Skin overview

Threat Detected is a drone-view theme: orange terrain map, dark contour lines and cyan interface markings across the receiver and stock. In Field-Tested the busy pattern hides light scuffs well, so the rifle still reads as bright orange from the first-person view. A balanced choice for players who want the colour without paying for a pristine finish.

Item type: sniper rifle. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The receiver, handguard, pistol grip and stock are painted orange with a map texture of thin dark contour lines, lighter streaks and small cyan HUD markings. The handguard keeps its black slots and top rail, which frame the orange panels.

Scuffs spread along the handguard edges, the scope tube and the cheek rest, and the orange can look slightly duller in places. The busy map pattern masks much of this wear. The side panels of the receiver and the middle of the stock still look mostly clean.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in orange, white, black or cyan tie in with the map and HUD theme. Placements on the dark handguard area near the rail or on the receiver side keep the main pattern readable.

What to look at before you buy

• Check where the float sits within its wear range, since the low end of a grade looks noticeably cleaner on the scope and handguard.
• Look at the handguard edges, the scope turrets and the grip first, as these lose paint before anything else.
• If it is a Souvenir copy, make sure the pre-applied stickers suit the orange artwork.
• Check any stickers or name tag on the listing so you know what you are paying for.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

• Players who want the bright orange colour for everyday matches.
• Buyers who rely on the busy pattern to hide light scuffs.
• A balanced choice between look and cost.
