Show allAllSkin overview
The skin is easy to spot by its saturated orange body, black barrel and the busy map texture with HUD accents. At Minimal Wear the colours stay just as strong, and any marks are tiny and limited to edges you rarely see in play. It gives nearly the clean look of the top grade at a lower step.
Item type: sniper rifle. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.
How the skin looks in Minimal Wear
The receiver, handguard, pistol grip and stock are painted orange with a map texture of thin dark contour lines, lighter streaks and small cyan HUD markings. The handguard keeps its black slots and top rail, which frame the orange panels.
Small specks may appear on the scope turrets and the sharpest edges of the handguard. The main orange panels, the grip and the stock look untouched. At normal distance the difference from Factory New is hard to notice.
Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15
The whole float range of Souvenir SSG 08 | Threat Detected is 0–0.65; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (12% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Control Collection with 19 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Stickers in orange, white, black or cyan tie in with the map and HUD theme. Placements on the dark handguard area near the rail or on the receiver side keep the main pattern readable.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within its wear range, since the low end of a grade looks noticeably cleaner on the scope and handguard.
- Look at the handguard edges, the scope turrets and the grip first, as these lose paint before anything else.
- If it is a Souvenir copy, make sure the pre-applied stickers suit the orange artwork.
- Check any stickers or name tag on the listing so you know what you are paying for.
Who should buy Minimal Wear
- Players who want a near-clean look and save a step compared with Factory New.
- Crafters who accept tiny edge marks that sit away from sticker spots.
- The sensible clean option for most buyers.
