Skin overview

SSG 08 | Tiger Tear is an Industrial Grade hydrographic finish: pale tan tiger stripes over a dark olive base, spread across the receiver, handguard, scope and stock. In Factory New the stripes keep sharp edges and the dark base stays even, so the camo reads crisp and deliberate. This is the cleanest way to see the pattern as it was painted.

Item type: sniper rifle. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Appearance in Factory New

The receiver, handguard, scope body and stock are covered in a dark olive base with pale beige tiger stripes that look torn and uneven. The barrel, muzzle brake and bipod stay in plain dark metal, which frames the camo and keeps the rifle looking utilitarian.

The print is intact on every part, with clean stripe edges and an even dark base. The scope, handguard and stock show no scratches. In game the camo looks tidy and slightly darker overall than worn copies. Everything on the rifle reads clean.

Factory New wear: float 0–0.07

The whole float range of Souvenir SSG 08 | Tiger Tear is 0–0.55; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (13% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
