Show allAllSkin overview
This is a dark tiger camo on the SSG 08, built from olive, near-black and beige tones. At Well-Worn the hydrographic layer is broken on the most exposed parts, and grey metal shows through on the scope, the front of the handguard and the edges of the stock. From a normal distance it still reads as striped camo, just with a rougher, used character.
Item type: sniper rifle. Industrial Grade is the second tier from the bottom: common skins from drops and collections.
Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred.
How the skin looks in Well-Worn
The receiver, handguard, scope body and stock are covered in a dark olive base with pale beige tiger stripes that look torn and uneven. The barrel, muzzle brake and bipod stay in plain dark metal, which frames the camo and keeps the rifle looking utilitarian.
Grey metal shows through on the scope, the front of the handguard and the stock edges, breaking the stripes in those areas. The cheek rest and grip begin to show scratches as well. In game the pattern is still readable, though the scope looks noticeably worn. The centre of the receiver keeps most of its camo.
Well-Worn wear: float 0.38–0.45
The float of Souvenir SSG 08 | Tiger Tear ranges from 0 to 0.55; the Well-Worn quality covers 0.38–0.45 — 13% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Where the skin comes from: collection and case
Souvenir SSG 08 | Tiger Tear belongs to The Boreal Collection, which holds 29 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Muted olive, khaki, black and beige stickers blend with the tiger camo without breaking it. Matte or paper stickers on the receiver side keep the field-rifle look, while a single gold or holo accent works as a contrast point.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since copies near the cleaner end show fewer marks on the scope.
- Look at the scope rims and the handguard tip first, as they lose the print before other parts.
- On Souvenir copies, check the stickers and their placement, as they shape the overall look.
- Check whether a name tag is applied and whether it fits your taste.
Who the Well-Worn quality suits
- Budget buyers who want the tiger camo at a lower entry cost.
- Players who prefer a rough, used look on their rifle.
- A cheap option that still keeps the pattern readable.
