Skin overview

Cracked Opal pairs a dark brown wood imitation with turquoise lines that look like light breaking through the splits. Battle-Scarred pushes the aged look furthest: large areas of paint are gone from edges, the shroud and the magazine, and bare metal mixes with the remaining wood texture. It is the roughest take on the skin, for those who like a weapon that looks dug out of the ground.

Item type: pistol. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The whole Tec-9 is painted in a warm brown texture with fine grain and light speckles that imitates aged wood. A network of bright turquoise cracks runs across the receiver, the perforated barrel shroud, the long magazine and the grip, forming irregular cells like dried, split timber.

Large areas of paint are missing from the shroud, the muzzle, the magazine base and the grip edges. Bare metal mixes with the remaining wood texture, and many crack lines are only partly visible. At normal distance the gun looks rough and dark with scattered turquoise accents. Only the flat sides of the receiver and the middle of the magazine keep a readable pattern.

Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–1

The whole float range of Souvenir Tec-9 | Cracked Opal is 0–1; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–1 segment (55% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir Tec-9 | Cracked Opal belongs to The Spectrum 2 Collection, which holds 17 skins.

It drops from Spectrum 2 Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Turquoise, teal and gold stickers echo the opal cracks and the warm wood tone. Earthy browns and stone-like designs fit the ancient theme, and placing them on the receiver side keeps the magazine pattern visible.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the shroud holes and magazine base show the difference first.
  • Look at the turquoise cracks on the receiver sides to see how bright the opal still is on this copy.
  • Inspect applied stickers and the name tag, as they change how the cracked surface reads.
  • For StatTrak™ or Souvenir copies, make sure the extra elements suit the look you want.

Who should buy Battle-Scarred

  • Entry-level buyers who want the skin at the lowest grade.
  • Players who like a rough, excavated look with bare metal showing.
  • The choice for a deliberately ruined, ancient-looking Tec-9.
