Skin overview

Briefing is a grey-blue map print on the UMP-45, and in Battle-Scarred it turns into a heavily worn version of it. Large areas of the pattern are rubbed off, the red trim survives only in fragments, and the gun reads mostly as dark metal with traces of the map. This grade suits those who like a battered, used-in-the-field look.

Item type: smg. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The receiver and the skeletal stock carry a slate grey-blue topographic map with thin darker contour lines and a few faint red lines running through the pattern. The handguard, magazine, pistol grip and vertical foregrip are a dark olive-grey, which keeps the map confined to the upper body of the gun.

Large areas of the map are worn away on the receiver and stock, and the magazine and grips show heavy scratching. The red accents remain only as fragments on the sights and trigger guard. In game the gun reads mostly as worn dark metal with patches of grey-blue. Clean print survives only in small protected areas of the receiver.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–1

The whole float range of Souvenir UMP-45 | Briefing is 0–1; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–1 segment (55% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Gamma 2 Collection with 17 skins in total.

The source is Gamma 2 Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Red, black and grey stickers match the trim and the map palette, and muted blue designs blend into the receiver. Placing a red sticker near the rear sight or along the receiver repeats the existing accents without crowding the contour lines.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the red accents on raised parts show damage early.
  • Look at the front sight, rail edges and magazine corners on the inspect screen, as these wear first.
  • Look at the condition of the stock outline, which carries a large part of the map pattern.
  • Check any applied stickers or name tag, which may add to or detract from the look.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

  • Fans of heavily worn, battered finishes.
  • The lowest entry point for players who just want Briefing in their inventory.
  • A niche pick for those who value the worn look.
