Skin overview

The muted map print and red highlights make Briefing easy to spot on a UMP-45 without being loud. At Minimal Wear the finish reads almost the same as a fresh copy, with only faint marks on edges that are hard to notice in a match. It keeps the clean look at a lower grade.

Item type: smg. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The receiver and the skeletal stock carry a slate grey-blue topographic map with thin darker contour lines and a few faint red lines running through the pattern. The handguard, magazine, pistol grip and vertical foregrip are a dark olive-grey, which keeps the map confined to the upper body of the gun.

Tiny scuffs may appear on the front sight, the rail edges and the bottom corners of the magazine. The contour lines and red accents stay intact. At normal distance in game it is hard to tell apart from Factory New. The receiver, stock pattern and grip remain clean.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of Souvenir UMP-45 | Briefing is 0–1; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (8% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Gamma 2 Collection with 17 skins in total.

It drops from Gamma 2 Case.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Red, black and grey stickers match the trim and the map palette, and muted blue designs blend into the receiver. Placing a red sticker near the rear sight or along the receiver repeats the existing accents without crowding the contour lines.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the red accents on raised parts show damage early.
  • Look at the front sight, rail edges and magazine corners on the inspect screen, as these wear first.
  • Look at the condition of the stock outline, which carries a large part of the map pattern.
  • Check any applied stickers or name tag, which may add to or detract from the look.

Who the Minimal Wear quality suits

  • Players who want a near-new look at a lower grade.
  • Sticker crafters for whom tiny edge marks do not matter.
  • A sensible balance of clean look and grade.
