Skin overview

Caramel is recognisable by the contrast between the dark grey weapon and its bright orange rails and stock. In Field-Tested the contrast holds, but the paint begins to chip on edges and rail teeth. The look moves from showroom clean towards a used work tool, which suits a simple finish like this one.

Item type: smg. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Solid Color: a single colour without a pattern; wear dulls it evenly and rubs it off along the edges.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The receiver, barrel shroud, magazine, pistol grip and vertical foregrip are painted a solid dark grey with a slightly matte look. The top Picatinny rail, the side rail section on the handguard and the whole folding skeleton stock are a solid caramel orange.

Chips become noticeable along the rail teeth and on the outer edges of the stock frame, where small patches of metal show through the orange. The muzzle and the bottom edge of the magazine start to lose paint. The flat grey surfaces of the receiver remain mostly clean. In game the scheme still reads as caramel and grey, with some texture on the stock.

Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of Souvenir UMP-45 | Caramel is 0.06–0.8; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (31% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Assault Collection with 7 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

What it costs in each quality

Among 7 skins of the UMP-45 in the Consumer Grade grade and this quality, this skin is the dearest.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in orange, gold, black or white repeat the two-tone scheme and sit well on the dark grey receiver. A single bright orange sticker on the receiver links the body to the caramel stock and rails. Busy multicoloured stickers tend to break the clean look of the finish.

What to look at before you buy

  • Look at the float within the chosen wear, since orange parts show chips much more clearly than the grey body.
  • Check the rail teeth and the stock frame in the inspect view, as these lose paint first.
  • The finish has no pattern, so the pattern index does not change the look.
  • Souvenir copies come with fixed stickers, so check whether they suit you before buying.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Players who want a coloured UMP-45 for everyday matches.
  • Buyers who like light chipping on the orange parts as a sign of use.
  • Conclusion: a balanced middle option for play.
