Skin overview

Crime Scene relies on strong contrast between the yellow tape and the darker red and blue base, and that contrast is still visible in Well-Worn. The paint is noticeably rubbed on edges and raised parts, and the tape lettering starts to break up. It suits buyers who want the theme and are fine with a used, rough look.

Item type: smg. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Well-Worn

The receiver and stock are covered in a red, purple and blue gradient that shifts across the weapon like flashing emergency lights. A yellow strip with black lettering reading CRIME SCENE and DO NOT CROSS runs along the upper receiver, and the handguard carries yellow-and-black hazard stripes next to a pale panel with black markings.

Wear spreads over the magazine, the top of the receiver and the handguard, with grey metal showing through in patches. The tape lettering breaks up, and the gradient loses its smoothness near worn areas. In game the colours still read, but the weapon looks clearly used. Flatter areas of the receiver sides and stock hold more paint.

Well-Worn wear: float 0.38–0.45

The float of Souvenir UMP-45 | Crime Scene ranges from 0 to 0.75; the Well-Worn quality covers 0.38–0.45 — 9% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

Souvenir UMP-45 | Crime Scene belongs to The Control Collection, which holds 19 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Yellow, black or holographic stickers match the caution tape and work well on the handguard or the lower receiver, away from the lettering. Red or blue stickers blend into the base gradient for a calmer craft.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, because the tape lettering and magazine stripes show the difference first.
  • Inspect the magazine edges and the top of the receiver, since these parts lose paint before the rest of the weapon.
  • Souvenir copies come with stickers already applied, so make sure their placement does not cover the caution tape if that matters to you.
  • Look at any stickers and name tag on the listing to see whether they suit the red, blue and yellow scheme.

Who should buy Well-Worn

  • Budget-minded players who want the caution tape theme.
  • Those who like a used look that fits a crime scene motif.
  • An inexpensive way to get the design with visible character.
