Skin overview

XM1014 | Frost Borre in Battle-Scarred comes from the very top of the skin's limited float range, so it is noticeably less damaged than many skins in this grade. The navy anodizing shows bare metal on edges and raised parts, yet the silver ring pattern is still recognisable along the barrel. It is the most affordable way to get the frosty Norse look.

Item type: shotgun. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The barrel and the magazine tube below it are finished in dark navy blue with silver interlocking rings and wave-like curves running along their length. The receiver carries the same navy base and ring pattern, while the ribbed pump grip, pistol grip and skeleton stock are left in muted grey metal with darker accents.

Bare metal is clearly exposed at the muzzle, the receiver edges and the top of the barrel. Because the float range ends early, the wear stays around the edges instead of covering the whole weapon. The central barrel and magazine tube still carry readable rings. At normal distance the blue base remains dominant.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.5

The whole float range of Souvenir XM1014 | Frost Borre is 0–0.5; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.5 segment (10% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

Souvenir XM1014 | Frost Borre belongs to The Norse Collection, which holds 18 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Souvenir version

This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.

Which stickers suit it

Silver, white, ice-blue and holographic stickers match the frosty palette and the metallic ring pattern. The navy receiver side is the best spot, where stickers sit against the blue rather than the grey stock. Bright warm colours tend to break the cold, restrained look.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end show fewer edge scratches.
  • Look at the muzzle, the top of the barrel and the receiver corners, as these lose the navy finish first.
  • Make sure any applied stickers suit the cold blue and silver palette rather than clash with it.
  • Check whether a name tag is attached and whether it matches your taste.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

  • Players looking for the cheapest entry into this skin.
  • Those who appreciate that the limited float range keeps damage mostly on the edges.
  • The budget entry that still looks like Frost Borre.
