Show allAllSkin overview
Quicksilver relies on tone rather than bright colour: dark blue steel, muted olive and silver under a thin terrain-map layer. In Field-Tested the metallic sheen softens and the edges start to lose the translucent coat, which gives the shotgun a used, working look. The overall colour scheme is still easy to recognise at normal distance.
Item type: shotgun. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
Appearance in Field-Tested
The barrel is a deep blue-black with light streaks along its length, while the magazine tube and forend carry the metallic silver-olive base with darker terrain-map shapes running across them. The receiver is dark grey steel with a few small yellow accents near the top rail, and the front sight also shows a touch of yellow.
The muzzle and forend edges lose part of the translucent coat, and the top of the receiver starts to dull. The sheen on the barrel becomes softer and less reflective. In game the skin reads as a used metallic finish with its colours still clear. The grip and the flat sides of the stock remain mostly clean.
Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38
The whole float range of Souvenir XM1014 | Quicksilver is 0–0.5; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (46% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Chroma Collection with 14 skins in total.
It drops from Chroma Case (on sale since Jan 8, 2015).
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Silver, holo and foil stickers in blue, white or black tones match the metallic palette. A single yellow sticker near the receiver can echo the small yellow accents already on the finish.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since the metallic sheen fades gradually and a low float keeps noticeably more of it.
- Look at the muzzle, forend edges and top of the receiver, as these lose the translucent layer first.
- Pattern placement changes little on this finish, so focus on wear rather than pattern.
- Review any applied stickers or name tag, because they can add to the cost without matching the cool palette.
Who should buy Field-Tested
- Players who like a used, working look on a shotgun.
- Buyers who want the colour scheme at a moderate cost.
- Conclusion: a practical everyday choice.
