Show allAllSkin overview
Red Python gives the XM1014 a reptile-scale finish in rust red, olive and tan, which suits a gun that already looks rugged. In Well-Worn the scales on the barrel and handguard start to break up, and grey metal shows through on edges, while the overall red snakeskin is still easy to recognise. It is a cheaper copy that still keeps the look.
Item type: shotgun. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.
Other qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the StatTrak™ version.
How the skin looks in Well-Worn
The barrel, magazine tube and handguard carry a dense pattern of dark red and rust scales with scattered olive and tan patches, giving a mottled snakeskin texture. The ribbed forend and the receiver continue the same print, with lighter tan scale clusters around the receiver side.
In Well-Worn the print on the muzzle and the front of the barrel is noticeably rubbed off, and the forend ribs show bare metal. Wear spreads to the stock edges and the cheek rest, and the scales start to look patchy. In game the red snakeskin is still clear, just duller and more broken. The receiver side and the centre of the stock keep most of the pattern.
Well-Worn quality — float range 0.38–0.45
The float of Souvenir XM1014 | Red Python ranges from 0.08 to 0.5; the Well-Worn quality covers 0.38–0.45 — 17% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Where the skin comes from: collection and case
Souvenir XM1014 | Red Python belongs to The eSports 2014 Summer Collection, which holds 17 skins.
The source is eSports 2014 Summer Case (on sale since Jul 9, 2014).
Souvenir version
This is the Souvenir version: such copies dropped to tournament viewers in souvenir packages; the team stickers and signatures on them cannot be removed or chosen. Souvenir items never carry StatTrak™. There is also the regular version without tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Red, gold and dark brown stickers match the snakeskin, while olive or black ones echo the scale patches. The receiver side, where the lighter scale clusters sit, is the most visible spot for a sticker.
What to look at before you buy
- There is no Factory New, so a low float in Minimal Wear is the cleanest option available.
- Check the muzzle, handguard edges and forend ribs first, since that is where the print wears off.
- Look at the beige cheek rest on the stock, as scratches show more clearly on the light panel.
- StatTrak™ and Souvenir versions exist, so make sure the copy you pick matches what you want.
Who should buy Well-Worn
- Budget players who still want the red snakeskin to be recognisable.
- Fans of a rugged, used look on a rough weapon.
- A cheaper copy that keeps the main look.
