Sand Dune keeps its identity in any condition because it relies on colour, not on a detailed pattern. In Field-Tested the tan paint starts to thin on corners and raised details, which fits the field-equipment feel of the finish. The overall silhouette and the sand-on-black contrast stay intact.

The receiver, handguard and chassis are sprayed in a light sand tan, with the rail section on top of the handguard in a slightly darker shade. The barrel and muzzle brake stay dark grey to black, giving the main contrast of the finish.

Wear becomes visible on the rail edges, scope mounts, the bolt area and the corners of the handguard, where grey metal starts to show. The bipod legs pick up light scratches. In game the rifle still reads as a clean sand finish, with wear noticeable mainly on inspect. Large flat areas of the chassis and stock stay mostly intact.
