Skin overview

The Cyrex finish pairs a black rifle with sharp red and white accents, giving the M4A1-S a clean technical look that is easy to spot in the hands of a teammate. In Minimal Wear the scheme still looks practically intact, and any small marks hide on the edges rather than in the main graphics. It keeps the look of a fresh copy while sitting one step below the top grade.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the Souvenir version.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The suppressor is dark grey with a red section near its base carrying small white markings, and the barrel behind it is red up to the black ribbed handguard. The receiver is black with white and red panels and a small white emblem, while the carry handle has a thin red accent.

Tiny specks may appear on the far end of the suppressor and the lower corners of the magazine. The red and white panels on the receiver remain clean, and the grip shows no visible marks. At normal distance it is hard to tell apart from Factory New. Only close inspection reveals the difference.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of StatTrak™ M4A1-S | Cyrex is 0–0.5; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (16% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Stickers in red, white, black or holographic silver fit the Cyrex scheme best. Placements on the black parts of the receiver and the handguard read cleanly against the dark base without covering the red artwork.

What to look at before you buy

• Check where the float sits within its wear grade, since lower values keep the suppressor and magazine noticeably cleaner.
• Inspect the suppressor and the bottom of the magazine first, as these parts show wear before the rest of the rifle.
• Look at applied stickers and their condition, because they can clash with the red and white panels.
• Decide whether you want a StatTrak™ or Souvenir version, as both exist for this skin.
