XM1014 | Red Leather is a Mil-Spec Grade shotgun finish that wraps the forend, grip and stock in red leather with stitched seams, while the receiver and barrel stay dark gunmetal. In Factory New the leather keeps its full deep red and the stitching lines stay crisp, so the contrast between the red wrap and the dark metal is at its sharpest.
Item type: shotgun. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.
How the skin looks in Factory New
The receiver, barrel and magazine tube are left in dark gunmetal with a matte, slightly olive tone. The pump forend is wrapped in red leather with vertical stitched lines, and the end cap of the magazine tube is red as well. The pistol grip carries the same red leather with horizontal grooves, and the folding stock is covered in red with lighter highlighted edges. On worn copies the edges of the forend, the grip ridges and the corners of the stock lose colour first, followed by the raised edges of the receiver.
The red leather is fully saturated on the forend, grip and stock, and the stitching lines are sharp. The dark receiver and barrel show no marks. In game the skin reads as clean red sections on a dark body. Every part of the weapon looks untouched.
Factory New wear: float 0–0.07
The float of XM1014 | Red Leather ranges from 0 to 0.56; the Factory New quality covers 0–0.07 — 13% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Where the skin comes from: collection and case
The skin’s collection is The Baggage Collection with 15 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.
Price by quality
Among 15 skins of the XM1014 in the Mil-Spec Grade grade and this quality, this skin ranks 3rd by price, counting from the dearest.
Souvenir version
There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Red, black and gold stickers match the leather wrap and dark metal best. Placements on the dark receiver stand out cleanly, while red stickers near the forend blend into the leather theme.
What to look at before you buy
- Check the float position within the wear range, since the forend edges and stock corners show the difference first.
- Inspect the grip ridges and the front of the forend, where scuffs on the red leather appear earliest.
- The skin has no pattern variation, so focus on wear rather than pattern.
- Look at any applied stickers and name tag, as they change the clean red-and-dark look.
Who the Factory New quality suits
- Collectors who want the leather at its deepest red with crisp stitching.
- Sticker crafters who need a clean dark receiver as a base.
- Conclusion: the grade for those who want the finish exactly as designed.
