Show allAllSkin overview
The Slaughter finish turns the Bowie Knife into a glossy red blade with layered stripes running along its length, framed by a black grip. Minimal Wear keeps the red saturated, and any marks are small enough that the striped pattern reads the same as on a cleaner copy. It is a way to get the full look at a grade below the top one.
Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.
Appearance in Minimal Wear
The whole blade, including the sawback spine, is coated in translucent tomato red over a chrome and aluminium base, which gives it a glossy, slightly metallic shine. Darker red stripes in a zebra-like arrangement curve across the blade, and their exact placement differs from copy to copy.
Tiny marks may appear at the very tip and on the points of the saw teeth. They are visible only on close inspect and do not break the stripes. At normal distance the knife reads the same as a Factory New copy. The flat of the blade, guard and pommel stay clean.
Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15
The whole float range of ★ Bowie Knife | Slaughter is 0.01–0.26; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (32% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
It is the rare special item of Operation Wildfire Case — knives and gloves drop far less often than the regular contents.
What it costs in each quality

- Factory New — 10% dearer
- Field-Tested — 4% cheaper

StatTrak™ version
There is also a the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon tracks kills. Right now it is 1.5× dearer than the regular one.
What to check before buying
- Look at the stripe placement on the blade, since the pattern differs between copies and some layouts are more sought after.
- Check the float position within the grade, as lower values keep the tip and saw teeth cleaner.
- Inspect the tip and the saw teeth, which are the first places where the red coat wears off.
- Note whether the copy is StatTrak™ or carries a name tag if that matters to you.
Who the Minimal Wear quality suits
- Players who want the knife to look clean in game without paying for the top grade.
- Buyers who inspect rarely and care about the overall red look.
- Conclusion: a sensible balance between appearance and cost.
