Skin overview
This is the Flip Knife in its Case Hardened finish, a heat-treated patina of warm metal with blue and violet patches. Battle-Scarred copies show heavy scratching across the blade, with the colour faded and broken in many places. It suits a buyer who wants the knife model and its inspect animation more than a clean surface.
Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.
How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred
The back-swept blade carries the whole finish: a heat-treated patina where gold and bronze metal is mixed with patches of blue and purple. The spine near the guard has a serrated section, and the coloured patches flow across it as well as over the flat of the blade.
Heavy scratching covers the whole blade, from the tip and edge to the serrations and flat. The patina is faded and broken in many places, so the pattern looks patchy. In game the knife reads as rough, worn metal with remnants of colour. The olive handle keeps its texture, but shows scuffs along the grip.
Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–1
The whole float range of ★ StatTrak™ Flip Knife | Case Hardened is 0–1; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–1 segment (55% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

What it costs in each quality
Among 18 skins of the Flip Knife in the Covert grade and this quality, this skin is the dearest.
StatTrak™ version
This is the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon shows confirmed kills. There is also the regular version without the counter. Right now the StatTrak™ version is 2× dearer than the regular one.
What to look at before you buy
- Look at the pattern on the actual copy, since the amount and placement of blue differ between blades.
- Check both sides of the blade in inspect, because the pattern on one side does not predict the other.
- Note where the float sits within the wear grade, as copies at the cleaner end show more saturated colour.
- Look at the tip and cutting edge first, as these show wear earliest.
Who should buy Battle-Scarred
- Budget buyers who want this knife model with a Case Hardened finish.
- Players who like a rough, used look on their knife.
- Conclusion: the entry option, where the model matters more than the surface.
