Show allAllSkin overview
Scorched pairs well with heavy wear: its dark blotches already suggest a burnt blade, and in Battle-Scarred large areas of exposed steel push that look further. The worn range on this skin is wide, so copies at this grade can differ a lot in how much paint is left. It is the most affordable way to own this Flip Knife finish.
Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.
How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred
The blade is painted in a mottled scheme of black, charcoal and lighter grey, with soft-edged blotches that look like soot over steel; the darker patches gather towards the spine and the tip. The serrated section near the base of the blade carries the same smoky paint, and the pivot area stays in a darker tone.
Large areas of the blade are worn down to steel, especially along the edge, the tip and the serrations, and the handle ribs are largely bare. Because the range for this grade is wide, some copies keep a fair share of the dark blotches while others are mostly metal. In game the knife reads as rough, weathered steel with remnants of soot-like paint. The darkest patches near the spine tend to survive the longest.
Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.8
The whole float range of ★ Flip Knife | Scorched is 0.06–0.8; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.8 segment (47% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

What to look at before you buy
- Check the float position within the wear range, since the worn grades on this skin are wide and copies with the same wear name can look quite different.
- Look at the cutting edge, the tip and the serrations first, as they lose paint before the rest of the knife.
- Compare the placement of the dark blotches on the blade, because the spray pattern sits differently from copy to copy.
- Note whether the knife has a StatTrak™ counter or a name tag, as both change the item you are buying.
Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits
- Players looking for the cheapest entry into owning a Flip Knife.
- Fans of a heavily used, rough steel look that matches the burnt name.
- The most affordable grade, best chosen by comparing how much paint each copy keeps.
