Show allAllSkin overview
Scorched is recognisable by its sooty, uneven blotches that make the Flip Knife look as if it has been held over a fire. In Field-Tested the first scuffs appear on the edge, the tip and the serrations, and the bare steel showing through fits the burnt theme rather than spoiling it. It is a balanced grade for buyers who want the knife to look used but intact.
Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.
How the skin looks in Field-Tested
The blade is painted in a mottled scheme of black, charcoal and lighter grey, with soft-edged blotches that look like soot over steel; the darker patches gather towards the spine and the tip. The serrated section near the base of the blade carries the same smoky paint, and the pivot area stays in a darker tone.
Wear becomes visible along the cutting edge, on the tip and on the serration teeth, where thin lines of bare steel show through. The grip ribs and the edges of the handle start to lose some paint. In game the burnt pattern is still clearly readable, and the scuffs blend into the soot theme. The flat of the blade keeps most of its blotches.

What to look at before you buy
- Check the float position within the wear range, since the worn grades on this skin are wide and copies with the same wear name can look quite different.
- Look at the cutting edge, the tip and the serrations first, as they lose paint before the rest of the knife.
- Compare the placement of the dark blotches on the blade, because the spray pattern sits differently from copy to copy.
- Note whether the knife has a StatTrak™ counter or a name tag, as both change the item you are buying.
Who the Field-Tested quality suits
- Players who like a knife with light signs of use that suit the burnt theme.
- Buyers looking for a balance between appearance and cost.
- A practical middle grade for everyday play.
