Skin overview

The finish is a hand-drawn layer of glyphs, faces and small figures over dark purple, framed by a polished steel edge and a black grip. Minimal Wear looks almost identical to a fresh copy in game, with any marks limited to the very tip or edge. It gives nearly the same look at a lower grade.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The blade is painted in deep purple and covered edge to edge with white and silver marker drawings: glyphs, hand prints, faces and small symbols. A narrow polished steel strip runs along the cutting edge and catches the light against the dark paint.

Small specks of bare metal may appear at the very tip or along the edge. The rest of the blade and the ring look the same as Factory New. At normal distance the difference is practically invisible, only a close inspect reveals it.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15

The float of ★ StatTrak™ Karambit | Freehand ranges from 0 to 0.48; the Minimal Wear quality covers 0.07–0.15 — 17% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the edge and tip change most between low and high values.
  • Look at which drawings fall on the visible side of the blade, as placement differs between copies.
  • Inspect the tip, spine and the rim of the finger ring for exposed steel.
  • Check whether the copy is StatTrak™ and whether it carries a name tag.

Who should buy Minimal Wear

  • Players who want a near-perfect look without paying for the top grade.
  • Buyers who accept tiny marks visible only on close inspect.
  • A sensible balance between appearance and cost.
