Skin overview

The Scorched finish turns the slim Stiletto Knife into a matte, smoky silhouette with no bright colour at all. In Minimal Wear the dark coat still looks whole, and any marks are small enough to need a close look at the edges. In hand it reads almost the same as the top grade while asking less of the buyer.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The narrow blade is coated in mottled spray-paint of black, charcoal and smoky grey, with lighter streaks running along its length. The bolster and the small guard quillons carry the same dark tones, so the front of the knife reads as one piece.

Minimal Wear may show tiny scuffs at the blade tip and along the cutting edge. The quillons and pommel can have faint rubbing that is visible only up close. In game the difference from Factory New is hard to spot during normal play. The handle and the flat of the blade remain fully painted.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of ★ StatTrak™ Stiletto Knife | Scorched is 0.06–0.8; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (11% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within its grade, since lower values keep more paint on the edge and tip.
  • Inspect the blade edge, tip, quillons and pommel first, as these parts lose paint before the rest.
  • Compare a few copies, because the random placement of light and dark blotches changes how the handle looks.
  • Look for a name tag and decide whether it fits your taste, since stickers cannot be applied to knives.

Who should buy Minimal Wear

  • Players who want a near-clean look at a lower cost than Factory New.
  • Buyers who rarely inspect the knife up close.
  • Conclusion: a sensible balance of condition and spending.
