★ Ursus Knife | Case Hardened keeps its gold-blue patina character even in the heaviest grade, with the olive grip unchanged. In Battle-Scarred the blade shows clear scratching and faded zones, especially toward the edge and tip, giving it a used, working-tool feel. It is the most accessible way to own this knife and finish.
Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.
Appearance in Battle-Scarred
The finish covers only the blade: a faceted tanto shape with a patina of pale gold and yellow over most of the steel, turning into blue, violet and darker reddish spots toward the spine and guard. The colour placement depends on the pattern, so one copy can be mostly gold while another shows large blue areas.
Heavy scratching runs across the edge, tip and facet lines, and the patina looks faded over larger parts of the blade. Colour zones are still visible but softer and less defined. In game the knife reads as noticeably used, while the pattern can still be recognised. The olive grip and dark guard remain unaffected.
Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–1
The whole float range of ★ StatTrak™ Ursus Knife | Case Hardened is 0–1; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–1 segment (55% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

What to look at before you buy
- Look at the pattern on both sides of the blade, since the amount of blue versus gold varies strongly between copies.
- Check the float position within the wear grade, as copies near the cleaner end show a sharper edge and tip.
- Inspect the cutting edge and the tip first, because these parts lose the patina before the rest.
- Note whether a name tag is applied and whether it is a StatTrak™ version.
Who should buy Battle-Scarred
- Players looking for the most affordable entry into this knife and finish.
- Those who like a heavily used, rugged look.
- The budget entry that keeps the character of the patina.
