Skin overview

★ Ursus Knife | Case Hardened pairs a tanto-style blade covered in a heat-treated patina of gold, blue and violet with an olive rubberised grip. In Factory New the colour transitions sit sharp on the faceted steel, and every flat of the blade keeps its glossy finish. This is the grade for buyers who want the patina exactly as it was applied.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The finish covers only the blade: a faceted tanto shape with a patina of pale gold and yellow over most of the steel, turning into blue, violet and darker reddish spots toward the spine and guard. The colour placement depends on the pattern, so one copy can be mostly gold while another shows large blue areas.

The blade shows no scratches, and the patina keeps full saturation across every facet. Edge and tip are as clean as the flats. In game the gold and blue zones read bright and crisp at any distance. The olive grip looks the same as on every other grade.

Factory New quality — float range 0–0.07

The float of ★ StatTrak™ Ursus Knife | Case Hardened ranges from 0 to 1; the Factory New quality covers 0–0.07 — 7% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

What to check before buying

  • Look at the pattern on both sides of the blade, since the amount of blue versus gold varies strongly between copies.
  • Check the float position within the wear grade, as copies near the cleaner end show a sharper edge and tip.
  • Inspect the cutting edge and the tip first, because these parts lose the patina before the rest.
  • Note whether a name tag is applied and whether it is a StatTrak™ version.

Who the Factory New quality suits

  • Collectors who want the patina with full colour and no marks.
  • Buyers hunting for a specific blue-heavy or gold-heavy pattern in the cleanest state.
  • The top choice when appearance matters more than budget.
