Skin overview

This is the Survival Knife in the Crimson Web hydrographic: a red blade with black web lines and a grey composite handle bolted on with hex nuts. Well-Worn copies show noticeable paint loss along the edges and tip, so bare metal starts to break up the red. The finish takes on a rough, used character while the red colour still reads from a distance.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Well-Worn

The whole blade, from the angled tip to the guard, is painted red with a black spider web pattern spread unevenly across both the flat and the spine. The gut hook, the long slot cutout and the jimping near the guard are coated in the same red, while the serrated teeth show bright bare metal.

In Well-Worn the paint loss spreads from the edges deeper into the blade, and bare metal shows along the edge, tip and around the cutout. The web lines start to break up where the red is scraped away. In game the knife looks clearly used, though the red base still dominates the middle of the blade. The spine near the guard usually keeps more paint than the cutting side.

Well-Worn wear: float 0.38–0.45

The whole float range of ★ Survival Knife | Crimson Web is 0.06–0.8; Well-Worn takes the 0.38–0.45 segment (9% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

What to check before buying

  • Look at how the web lines fall on the visible side of the blade, since pattern placement varies between copies.
  • Check the tip, cutting edge and gut hook first, as these parts lose paint before the rest of the blade.
  • Compare the float position within the wear grade, because a low float in Field-Tested or Well-Worn looks noticeably cleaner.
  • Decide whether you want the StatTrak™ version or a name tag, as both are offered on this knife.

Who should buy Well-Worn

  • Budget buyers who want a Crimson Web knife with the red still dominant.
  • Players who like a used look with visible metal along the edges.
  • An affordable entry that keeps the colour recognisable.
