Skin overview

This is the Doppler finish in its Phase 4 blue, laid over the hooked Talon Knife blade with a saw-toothed spine and a painted finger ring. The marbled pattern and the ivory handle are what make it recognisable from a distance, and both stay intact at this grade. Minimal Wear sits at the very top of a narrow float range, so the colour looks practically the same as on cleaner copies, with only faint marks that need a close look to find.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The blade carries a marbled blue finish that shifts from dark navy near the spine to brighter cobalt toward the edge, with pale misty swirls breaking through the pattern. The saw-tooth ridges and the three holes along the spine are coated in the same blue, as is the finger ring at the end of the handle.

Minimal Wear adds a few fine scuffs, mostly at the tip, along the cutting edge and on the points of the spine teeth. The outer rim of the finger ring can show a slight dulling of the coat. The marbling, the colour depth and the ivory handle look unchanged, and in normal play the difference from Factory New is hard to notice. The wear only appears when the knife is turned in the light during inspection.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.08

The whole float range of ★ Talon Knife | Doppler Phase 4 is 0–0.08; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.08 segment (12% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

What to check before buying

  • Look at the float position within the wear grade, since the tip and the spine teeth pick up marks first.
  • Compare the pattern on screenshots, because the balance of dark navy and light blue areas differs between copies of Phase 4.
  • Check whether the copy is StatTrak™ and whether the knife carries a name tag that you would want to keep or remove.
  • Inspect the outer rim of the finger ring, which is painted and shows wear earlier than the flat of the blade.

Who should buy Minimal Wear

  • Players who want the Phase 4 look in game and accept faint marks that only show on inspection.
  • Buyers looking for a more accessible entry into this knife without a visible loss of colour.
  • Those who care more about the pattern balance than about a perfectly clean tip.
  • Conclusion: practically the same knife in play, at a lower grade.
