Skin overview

The Ruby phase of the Talon Knife Doppler is a single-colour red finish with soft marbled shading, which makes it stand apart from the multicoloured Doppler phases. In Minimal Wear the blade still reads as solid red, and any marks are small and confined to the tip and the edges of the teeth. It gives the same recognisable look at a slightly lower grade.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The curved blade is fully covered in a glossy ruby red, with darker wine-coloured clouds of marbling running through it and a thin silver bevel along the cutting edge. The saw-tooth spine and the three round holes near it carry the same red, so the colour continues right up to the ridges.

In Minimal Wear small scuffs can appear at the very tip of the blade and on the edges of the spine teeth, with possible light marks on the rim of the finger ring. The flat of the blade and the marbled red field stay clean. In the first-person view these marks are hard to notice, and the knife still reads as solid ruby red. The handle and the silver edge bevel look the same as on a Factory New copy.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.08

The float of ★ Talon Knife | Doppler Ruby ranges from 0 to 0.08; the Minimal Wear quality covers 0.07–0.08 — 12% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the range, since a low-float Minimal Wear can look almost identical to Factory New.
  • Inspect the blade tip and the spine teeth in the inspect view, as these are the first places to lose paint.
  • Look at the finger ring rim for small scuffs that the default angle can hide.
  • Note whether the copy is StatTrak™ and whether it carries a name tag, as both change how the item reads.

Who should buy Minimal Wear

  • Players who want the Ruby look in hand and accept small marks they will rarely notice in game.
  • Buyers looking for a lower entry point into this phase without losing its colour.
  • Conclusion: nearly the same red blade, with the savings going to the grade rather than the look.
