Skin overview

★ Talon Knife | Doppler (Ruby) is a Talon Knife with a deep red candy-coated finish over a darker marbled base, set against an ivory handle with brass rivets. In Factory New the red stays saturated from the spine teeth to the tip, and the silver edge bevel reads as a clean, unbroken line. This is the grade for buyers who want the Ruby colour exactly as intended.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The curved blade is fully covered in a glossy ruby red, with darker wine-coloured clouds of marbling running through it and a thin silver bevel along the cutting edge. The saw-tooth spine and the three round holes near it carry the same red, so the colour continues right up to the ridges. The handle stays in its natural ivory with brass rivets and a small round emblem in the centre, while the finger ring at the base is painted red to match the blade. On worn copies the paint goes first at the blade tip, on the points of the spine teeth and along the outer rim of the finger ring.

In Factory New the red coating is intact across the whole blade, including the tip and the points of the spine teeth. The marbling looks deep and even, and the gloss of the candy coat is uniform. In game the knife shows as a clean, bright red blade from any distance. The ivory handle and the red finger ring look untouched.

Factory New wear: float 0–0.07

The whole float range of ★ Talon Knife | Doppler Ruby is 0–0.08; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (88% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the range, since a low-float Minimal Wear can look almost identical to Factory New.
  • Inspect the blade tip and the spine teeth in the inspect view, as these are the first places to lose paint.
  • Look at the finger ring rim for small scuffs that the default angle can hide.
  • Note whether the copy is StatTrak™ and whether it carries a name tag, as both change how the item reads.

Who should buy Factory New

  • Collectors who want the Ruby phase in its cleanest state.
  • Players who inspect their knife often and want no marks on the tip or teeth.
  • Conclusion: the grade for a flawless red blade with no compromises.
