AUG | Signal Scanner (Field-Tested)

Skin overview

Signal Scanner relies on contrast between a dark matte body and small bright details rather than on a large pattern. In Field-Tested the black base starts to show scuffs on edges and raised parts, while the overall dark silhouette remains intact. The finish tolerates this wear well because most of the surface is plain black.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The receiver and stock are covered in matte black paint with thin engraved-looking lines that resemble circuitry. On the side of the body sit small colored details: a green marking near the top and a circular emblem on the stock, with a faint purple sheen along the upper receiver.

Scratches become visible along the stock edges, the top of the receiver and the front near the barrel. The small colored marks start to lose some saturation. In game the rifle still reads as a dark matte AUG with accents, and the wear mostly shows when inspecting. The flat side panels of the stock usually stay fairly clean.

Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of AUG | Signal Scanner is 0–1; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (23% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

AUG | Signal Scanner belongs to The Spy Tech Collection, which holds 17 skins. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

The matte black body works well with stickers in green, purple or holographic finishes that echo the small colored marks. Clean tech-style or minimal designs placed along the side of the receiver keep the scanner theme intact.

• Look at where the float sits within the wear range, since the small colored marks fade earlier than the black base.
• Inspect the stock edges and the top of the receiver, which are the first areas to scratch.
• Souvenir copies exist, so check whether the item carries souvenir stickers and whether they suit you.
• Check applied stickers and the name tag, as they change how the dark body looks.
