Show allAllSkin overview
M249 | Aztec is recognisable by its olive stone-carved pattern, the mask glyph on the receiver and the plain pale green magazine. In Battle-Scarred the finish looks heavily weathered, with worn edges and patchy relief across the body. It is the most budget-friendly way to own the design and leans fully into the excavated look.
Item type: machinegun. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.
Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.
Appearance in Battle-Scarred
The receiver and top cover carry a dense olive and moss-green relief in the style of carved stone, with a large glyph mask on the side of the receiver. The handguard and stock continue the same carved bands, while the barrel, sights and bipod area stay dark gunmetal.
The relief is patchy across the receiver, handguard and stock, with the edges heavily worn. The magazine looks scratched over most of its surface. In game the skin reads as a rough, aged green gun rather than a detailed carving. The general colour scheme and the outline of the mask are still visible.
Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–0.75
The whole float range of M249 | Aztec is 0–0.75; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.75 segment (40% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

What it costs in each quality
Among 3 skins of the M249 in the Restricted grade and this quality, this skin ranks 2nd by price, counting from the dearest.
StatTrak™ and Souvenir
There is also a the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon tracks kills. Right now it is 1.9× dearer than the regular one. There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.
Stickers and crafts
Gold, bronze and earthy brown stickers fit the carved-relic theme, as do muted greens that blend into the relief. The plain pale green magazine is the most visible flat surface and works well for a single accent sticker.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since a copy near the cleaner end shows noticeably less edge wear.
- Inspect the top cover edges and magazine corners, as these lose colour first on this finish.
- Look at the mask glyph on the receiver to see how sharp it stays on the copy you are buying.
- Check for applied stickers or a name tag, which can change how the copy fits your plans.
