Show allAllSkin overview
M249 | Aztec combines a moss-coloured stone relief on the receiver and stock with dark metal parts, matching the excavated-relic idea from its description. In Field-Tested the edges start to show scuffs, which suits the ancient, weathered theme rather than fighting it. The carved mask and main motifs remain clearly readable.
Item type: machinegun. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.
Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.
Appearance in Field-Tested
The receiver and top cover carry a dense olive and moss-green relief in the style of carved stone, with a large glyph mask on the side of the receiver. The handguard and stock continue the same carved bands, while the barrel, sights and bipod area stay dark gunmetal.
Scuffs become visible along the top cover edges, magazine corners and the bottom of the stock. The raised parts of the relief start to lose a little colour. In game the pattern still reads clearly, with a slightly aged tone. The mask glyph and the central receiver area remain mostly clean.
Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38
The whole float range of M249 | Aztec is 0–0.75; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (31% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The CS20 Collection with 17 skins in total.
The source is CS20 Case.
What it costs in each quality

StatTrak™ and Souvenir
This skin has a the StatTrak™ version with a kill counter. Right now it is 2× dearer than the regular one. There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.
Which stickers suit it
Gold, bronze and earthy brown stickers fit the carved-relic theme, as do muted greens that blend into the relief. The plain pale green magazine is the most visible flat surface and works well for a single accent sticker.
What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since a copy near the cleaner end shows noticeably less edge wear.
- Inspect the top cover edges and magazine corners, as these lose colour first on this finish.
- Look at the mask glyph on the receiver to see how sharp it stays on the copy you are buying.
- Check for applied stickers or a name tag, which can change how the copy fits your plans.
Who should buy Field-Tested
- Players who use the M249 regularly and want the pattern clearly readable in game.
- Fans of the ruins theme who like a slightly aged look.
- A practical middle option for everyday play.
